Hyun-Gee “Abigail” Jei is a Ph.D. student in Industrial and systems engineering. Her research focus is on creating decision support tools for workers in complex and dynamic environments such as the military, healthcare, and the oil & gas industry. Having served in the South Korean military and also having experienced one of the major earthquakes in Korean history before coming to graduate school, she has a passion for creating safe and resilient systems, especially in complex settings. Her research utilizes eye trackers to keep track of the attentional allocation of workers and then provides adaptive visualizations to support better decision making. She is also interested in applying Human-AI Teaming and virtual reality (VR) applications in complex situations to better train workers to create more resilient and safe working environments. Abigail loves to rock climb and cook in her free time.
