Dr. Sasangohar’s team secured the first place in TEES Annual Research Conference project competition. The winning project title Continuous Health Intervention and Monitoring of Elderly (CHIME) involved Dr. Austin Riddle and Dr. Justin Foreman. Dr. Sasangohar’s team received $20,000 to pursue the project.

ACE lab partners with Project HERO to evaluate a novel PTSD tool
Project HERO a non-profit organization serving the Veterans and First Responders who suffer from PTSD is organizing a Texas challenge ride where 35 riders will try ACE lab the PTSD wearable tool on their ride from San Antonio to Houston. Drs. Peres and Sasangohar receive NSF grant to investigate emergency response technologies
Drs. Camille Peres and Farzan Sasangohar were awarded $239,870 by the NSF to investigate team decision-making and resilience in emergency response system. ACE lab doctoral students Jukrin Moon and Changwon Son will take part in this collaborative effort between ACE lab, School of Public Health and TEEX. Read More
Changwon was selected by the Resilience Engineering Association as a 2017 Young Talent
Changwon Son, a PhD student in ACE lab has been recognized as the 2017 Young Talent by the Resilience Engineering Association (REA). Changwon was awarded funds to attend the REA Young Talent workshop held in conjunction with the 2017 REA symposium in Liege, Belgium.
